Welcome to LocalTradesmen.ie. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined in this User Agreement. Please read this agreement carefully before using our services. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our website.

This User Agreement should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Fees Policy.

1. About LocalTradesmen.ie

LocalTradesmen.ie is an online platform connecting people looking for trades and services (“Service Buyers”) with skilled professionals (“Service Providers”). We do not provide the services ourselves but facilitate connections between users.

2. Who Can Use LocalTradesmen.ie?

To use our platform, you must:

Be at least 18 years old.
Be able to enter legally binding agreements.
Not have been previously banned from our site.

By registering as a Service Provider, you confirm that you have the legal authority to operate as a business and provide the advertised services.

3. How LocalTradesmen.ie Works

For Service Buyers: You can post job requests for free or opt for paid features to increase visibility. However, we do not guarantee responses from Service Providers.
For Service Providers: You must pay a registration fee and a fee per lead if you wish to bid for jobs. Fees are detailed in our Fees Policy.

LocalTradesmen.ie does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the quality, credentials, or insurance of any Service Provider. It is your responsibility to conduct due diligence before hiring anyone.

4. User Responsibilities

While using our platform, you must not:

Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information.
Post spam, distribute viruses, or engage in fraudulent activities.
Copy, modify, or use our content without permission.
Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or remove any account that violates our policies.

5. Service Buyers’ Responsibilities

You must not post the same job more than once in 6 months.
You should provide feedback after completing a job.
Excessive job postings without hiring may result in restricted access.

6. Service Providers’ Responsibilities

You are responsible for paying registration and lead fees as outlined in our Fees Policy.
You must not contact Service Buyers unless responding to a valid job request.
You must ensure you have the necessary qualifications, licenses, and insurance to perform the work.

7. No Guarantee of Work or Payment

LocalTradesmen.ie does not:

Guarantee that Service Providers will be hired.
Guarantee that Service Buyers will receive responses.
Involve itself in payment disputes between Service Buyers and Providers.

8. Disputes Between Users

If a dispute arises between users, you agree to resolve it without involving LocalTradesmen.ie. We are not responsible for any issues regarding services, payments, or work quality.

9. Liability Disclaimer

LocalTradesmen.ie is a platform only. We are not responsible for:

The quality of work provided.
The competency of a Service Provider.
Any losses, damages, or disputes arising from services arranged through our platform.

Our total liability, if any, is limited to €120.

10. Privacy & Data Use

We do not sell or share your data with third parties except to facilitate job connections. You can review our full Privacy Policy for more details.

11. Amendments to This Agreement

We may update this User Agreement from time to time. Changes will take effect 30 days after posting on our website. Continued use of the site means you accept the new terms.
